Life is full of wonderful moments that we cherish.  And blended into that mix are moments and seasons that are hard.  So what do we do when those tough times come? How do we navigate them? We lift up our eyes and remember that our God is the God above the storm! 

Psalm 29: 10 says, |” The Lord sits enthroned over the flood; the Lord is enthroned as King forever. 11 The Lord gives strength to his people; the Lord blesses his people with peace.”

WHERE IS YOUR FOCUS?

Why is it so important to know this? Because it’s very easy to become focused on our problems when the storms of life come. And when we do that we quickly become overwhelmed.  And when we become overwhelmed, despair is not far behind.  Before we know it, we are feeling sunk and without hope.

So what should we do when the storms of life come? We need to lift up our eyes and focus on God.  And as we begin to worship Him, we are reminded that our God is not limited in any way, shape or form.  He is the one who moves mountains, parts the sea and makes a way for us where there seems to be no way!

And as we remember that our God is always above the storm, our hearts are filled with faith and hope again because we know that He is moving on our behalf and bringing the victory.

Today, I want to encourage each one of us to lift up our eyes straight away when the storms come.  Focus on God, worship Him and remind yourself that He is God above the storm.  And then watch as He works in your life in ways you cannot imagine!
