As believers, we have the incredible privilege of speaking to God anytime. 1 Thessalonians 5:17 says, “Pray without ceasing”. Prayer is powerful because of the one we are speaking to. We are speaking to the most High God who created the entire universe. His power is limitless and there is absolutely nothing He cannot do. That is why prayer is powerful and it’s an immense privilege to know that we can call out to God anywhere anytime about anything. Hebrews 4:16 says, “Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need”. Yes, prayer is powerful!
Let’s look at what the Bible says about prayer:
- When you pray, come to God with faith knowing that He will answer your prayers according to His will. (Matthew 21: 21-22)
- Persist and keep praying even when you don’t see the answer to your prayers straight away (Luke 18: 1-8)
- Whichever way God answers your prayers remember that you can trust Him because He loves you and His plan for your life is good.
Prayer is an absolutely integral part of our relationship with God. In fact, it’s our absolute lifeline! Let’s press in deep and grow our prayer life. In these end times that we are living in we need to be connected closely and very deeply with Jesus. This is the only way we will be able to stand firm in Him!
