Many times in life we often find ourselves at a crossroads, scratching our heads and wondering which way to go. In moments like these, it’s very tempting to just make a decision based on what looks right to us. However, the Bible clearly reminds us that God wants to direct our paths. Today I want to encourage you to trust God’s plans for your life!
Proverbs 19:21 says, “Many are the plans in a person’s heart, but it is the Lord’s purpose that prevails”.
So what do you do when you’re not sure which direction to take?
1. PRAY AND SEEK GOD
No matter what situation you are facing, whether it’s a new job or moving cities pray and seek God’s face. The key is to come before God with a surrendered heart as you seek Him for your next steps. Lay your preferences aside and simply seek Him and pray that His will be done in your life.
2. WALK BY FAITH
Trust God to direct your steps. As you move forward you can do so confidently knowing that God will direct you. He will open and shut doors and you can completely trust Him in this even if it doesn’t make sense in the natural. God is working at all times in our lives, even behind the scenes and we can always trust Him even when things don’t make sense. So keep walking by faith!
3. BE OBEDIENT
It can be hard to walk in obedience when we think should work out differently in our lives. However, God calls us to obedience. To walk in obedience we need to be surrendered and say at all times “Thy will be done”. And never forget that God is working in ways we cannot see and ultimately working everything together for our good. So keep trusting Him!
As you go through the rest of this week, I encourage you to be still and listen for God’s voice and leading in every situation you’re facing. And as you hear His voice confidently move in the way He is leading you!
