One of the most amazing truths of our faith is that our God is a personal God.  He loves us deeply. He knows us completely.  Every part of our lives is important to Him and we can entrust everything that touches our lives to Him.  What a joy to know that he knows my name!

Isaiah 43:1 says, “But now, this is what the Lord says—He who created you, Jacob, He who formed you, Israel: ‘Do not fear, for I have redeemed you; I have summoned you by name; you are mine.”

A NEW MINDSET

Life is full of struggles. It can really feel so overwhelming at times.  This is precisely when we need a shift of focus.  We need to remind ourselves that the same God who set the universe in place knows each and every one of us by name.  His love for us is incredible and we can trust Him with everything in our lives.

In the book of Exodus, we read about the Israelites. They were under terrible bondage as slaves in Egypt.  Yet, God had not forgotten them! As a result, in the appointed time, He used Moses to deliver them from Egypt.  He parted the Red Sea and ultimately brought their descendants and Joshua and Caleb into the promised land.  The main point to remember here is that God knew each of them by name, saw their suffering and moved on their behalf.

Today, I want to encourage each one of us that we serve the same God.  Our way is not hidden from Him.  He is not blind to our sufferings and trials.  I want to remind us to lay our burdens at His feet.  Remember that His power is unmatched and that He can help us no matter what we are going through.  

Let’s stand firm in faith and trust God for every part of our lives, remembering that He knows our name!
