WE ARE AMBASSADORS FOR CHRIST!

An image of a globe and a Bible

God’s heart has always been to reconcile mankind to Himself.  We see this in 2 Corinthians 5:18-19 which says, “All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation: that God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not counting people’s sins against them. And he has committed to us the message of reconciliation.”  We can see that God wants us to make Jesus known so that He is worshipped throughout the earth.  And we have a pivotal role in this because we are ambassadors for Christ with a message of reconciliation!

Simply put, we as Christians represent Jesus in the way we speak and live in this world.  And our job is to draw the lost to Christ so that they can be reconciled to Him too.

WHAT ARE YOU PASSIONATE ABOUT?

In truth though the things of life can so easily become all-consuming.  And the passion we should have to make Jesus known rather goes to things like hobbies, sports, time on social media, friends and family to name a few. Now please don’t misunderstand. All of these things are good and we are meant to enjoy them. However, we should never be more passionate about them than about making Jesus known and spreading the gospel.

It’s so challenging to look deep into our hearts and truly see what we are passionate about.  Is it making Christ known or is it something else? God wants us to carry His heart for the lost and reaching them.

So where do we begin? This passion to make Jesus known is not something we can drum up in our hearts.  It will begin to flow in our lives the more deeply we know God.  As we seek His face and invest deeply in our relationship with Him He will place His passion in our hearts to reach the lost.  It’s then up to us to fan that passion to flame.

Let’s ask God to stir our hearts aflame with His passion to reach the lost and to remember that we are ambassadors for Christ in every situation!
